This campsite is one of the best camping spots in the area, it’s within walking distance of Jenny Lake so you couldn’t get closer if you tried. It’s also right next to the biggest bike path in the area so its a great stopping off point if you’re planning a long summer bike ride.
However you can’t book this one so be sure to turn up early to make sure you don’t miss out on a spot. There’s a handy little store on site where you can get your firewood, ice and a few snacks for midnight.

If you fancy something a little more upmarket, how about adding a little luxury into your trip by staying at this beautiful resort at the foot of the Tetons. There’s plenty of packages available to make sure you wake up on the right side of bed and are ready to face your day of hiking up the hills.

Your chance to enjoy camping on the shore of Jackson Lake with a backdrop of Lizard creek or Signal mountain. This campsite is strictly first come first serve, so again, be sure to get there early during peak season.
You’ll be at the beginning of multiple trails up and around the surrounding landscape so it’s the perfect camping base. There’s also a convenient shop to stock up on your camping supplies.

Around the area to the east of the Teton mountain range there are so many outdoor activities to get involved in, from hiking and backpacking to cycling and boating and everything in between. Or for the brave among you, you can dive into the lakes themselves – both Jenny and Leigh – or you can swim in the seasonally warm String Lake.
The area also boasts two, very scenic drives for you to enjoy, the scenic route around Jenny Lake and the Signal Mountain summit road, which’ll take you right to the top where you can enjoy the brilliant views from every angle.

This campyard is located in the heart of the canyon and so is a great location from which to start your hiking and backpacking adventures. Next to the creek itself the site is very tranquil and enjoys partial views of the nearby mountains.
The campsite has a large amount of shade for the summer months a there’s a dense forest of trees covering the area, making the ideal home for lots of wildlife along with your family!

The rooms are circled around the large common room and iconic fireplace so it’s a great chance to meet other campers if you’re a solo traveller or a couple. As an added bonus, rooms are pretty cheap!

If you’re a keen mountain biker then this is the place to head to. With new trails being built every year, you’ll constantly be surprised and be able to try your hand at something new.
There’s also an array of fishing along with a variety of outdoor activities to get involved in, from golfing and hiking to music festivals, a visit here is a must.

This campground is the closest one to the town of Jackson so if you’d prefer to be close to civilization then this is a good choice. There’s over 300 individual sites and five specifically for larger groups. It’s surrounded by cottonwood trees and bordered by the river. Enjoy views from your tent window of the beautiful mountain range from this glorious site.

A campsite that is a little gateway to an outdoor paradise. Around Jackson Lake you will find plenty to see and do, but if there’s two things you simply must do when you visit it’s head to the Jackson Lake outlook and just stand in awe at the breath-taking views, and then head over to Signal Mountain and climb up the Summit Road, where the views are even more brilliant – if you can believe it – and you’ll have got in a good workout along the way.
